Child Safety Week 2026

Child Safety Week is the Child Accident Prevention Trust’s (CAPT) annual community education campaign, acting as a catalyst for thousands of safety conversations and activities across the UK. Warrington Safeguarding Partnership is supporting Child Safety Week which aims to help families build confidence and skills in managing the real risks to children’s safety and all children to have the freedom to grow and learn, safe from serious harm.

Every year, far too many children are killed or suffer disfiguring or disabling injuries as a result of preventable accidents. Child Safety Week raises awareness of these risks and encourages families, professionals and communities to take action. This year, Child Safety Week is focused on “making prevention possible”. The campaign aims to empower families to make simple, practical changes to improve safety, without feeling overwhelmed.
